What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves to your browser. Cookies help websites remember who you are so you do not have to log in every time, and they help us understand how people use the platform so we can improve it.
Cookies are not programs — they cannot carry viruses or run code. They are just little notes.
The cookies we use
We only use cookies that are necessary to run the platform or that help us understand how it is being used. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
What we do NOT use cookies for
- We do not use cookies to show you ads
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.)
- We do not sell cookie data or share it with data brokers
- We do not track you across other websites
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The steps vary by browser:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions
If you block the essential session cookie you will not be able to stay logged in to Homeowner OS.
Changes to this policy
If we start using new cookies we will update this page and, if the change is significant, notify you by email.
